The COVID-19 infection that is rapidly spreading throughout our nation presents serious and difficult challenges for everyone. Just as Health Professionals (Doctors, Nurses, Physical Therapist Ect...); Funeral Service Professionals (Funeral Directors, Embalmers & Funeral Home Associates) feel the safety and well being of our staff, your family and our community-at-large is of the greatest importance. We ask the you respect any new policies and procedures implemented by our funeral establishment. This is a difficult time for our nation and the families we serve. Although our method of service may change to ensure everyone's safety, our commitment to the community is unwavering.

We encourage you to join us in exercising and implementing the following: 

          * FREQUENTLY cleaning hands with anti-bacterial soap and warm water for 20 seconds.

          * Use hand-sanitizers.

           * Practice Social Distancing. 

           * Limit physical contact (Hand-Shaking, Hugging, Kissing and ect...) 

           * Thoroughly cleaning hard-surfaces and high-traffic areas.

      In the wake of the  passing of our Owner/Manager, Mr. Donati R. High, Sr., the Knox-High Mortuary remains OPEN to conduct business as usual. We will continue to serve Southside Virginia and Northern North Carolina, just as we have since our inception in 1941, by Mr. John A. Knox.  ALL Pre Need Funeral Plans established with Mr. High are secure and require you, as the consumer, to do nothing at this time. Rest assured that your wishes will be honored with the same level of compassion, dignity, respect and integrity as it would with Mr. Donati High.

Our establishment is operated by a staff of trained and highly skilled professional specialists, and our facilities are still regarded as the most modern in this area.  While Mr. High may not physically be with us, his spirit, leadership and legacy will forever abide.
