Lily Conner Obituary

Lily Mae Conner was born October 18, 1939 to the late Lamar Mason Sr. and Willia Green Mason.  She departed this life on August 30, 2019 at her home in Virginia.

At an early age she joined Salem Baptist church in Emporia Virginia, and recently attended Newness of Life Outreach Ministries. Lily Mae attended R. R. Moton public schools.

Lily Mae was a staple of the Washington Park neighborhood. She managed two stores that serviced the community. Many would find themselves there nightly, immersed in good food and enjoying the game room.

She was nurturing, loving and caring, and also known for her fondness for children. Lily never turned a child away from her doorstep, and it is believed that she raised more than 35 foster children. She had a very happy spirit greeted all with a wonderful smile daily.
