Louise Pitt Tucker, daughter of Ella Wyche Pitt and Simon Pitt was born February 10, 1929, in Greensville County. Her earthly pilgrimage ended on October 9, 2018, as she was called to her eternal home. She was reared in Greensville County where she received her formal education. On July 14, 1979, she married the love of her life, James Hugo Tucker. She served as his partner in life and ministry. She was employed by Dr. Peter Squire and family for 50 years. She served as housekeeper, cook and child care provider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Apostle James Hugo Tucker, her father, Simon Pitt, her mother, Ella Wyche Pitt and her brother, Alexander Pitt. Mother Tucker was very special to those who knew her. She was kind, giving, caring and a mother to many. She was a wonderful cook as well. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She along with her husband established a ministry called Joy Bell Mission in Emporia, VA. The couple also later went on found St. Matthew Holiness Church, where her husband served as senior Pastor for 40 years. She leaves to cherish her step-daughters, Shirley Stukes (Bennie) of Emporia, VA; Lisa Oyster (Herman) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; step-sons, Clarence Tucker (Safanza); Richard Tucker (Bernice) of Emporia, VA; She leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Finally, her caregiver/niece Maybell Whistson and Uncle Henry E.D. Pitt of Emporia, VA; four God-daughters: Latasha Johnson, Semiko Green, Arel Moore and Danielle Washington.
