Martha Myrick Evans

Martha Myrick Evans, was born October 29, 1919, and transitioned to eternal rest on Monday December 3rd. Martha was a native of the Greensville county area, and a faithful member of Little Shiloh Baptist Church until her health began to decline. Martha was an earthly angel to all who knew and loved her. She was a gentle spirit, loving, kind, and a nurturing care giver. She loved fish, neck bones, cornbread and all of her daughter Connie’s cooking. She never complained, never asked for more and was always content.
Lovingly called “Hat” or “Hecky Dukey”, she had a quiet demeanor but loved to hear stories, and a good joke. Martha was surrounded by love, and will be remembered fondly in our hearts. Eventhough we will miss her dearly, on today we rejoice for we know she is resting in eternal peace and happiness with the Lord.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her family. Her daughter Constance Stowall,, who she fondly called “Buddy”, grandson, Justin(Ashley) Stowall, Great Grandsons Joel Sumpter and Tramaine Gillus, along with a host of other nieces nephews and loved ones.
