On Wednesday, March 19, 2014 God took a walk in his lovely flower garden and picked form it one of his beautiful precious flowers and said "come home". Walter Robinson was born to the late Jimmie and Cornelia Robinson, Sr. on August 31, 1925. He was the eldest son of that union. Walter was reared in a Christian home and at an early age he joined Salem Baptist Church in Emporia, VA. Walter became disabled at a very young age; yet he was a hard worker and aided his parents with the family farm. Walter leaves to cherish his memories: one sister; Lucille Powell of Newport News, VA, three brothers; Sam Robinson, Joe Winston Robinson and Clayton Powell of Emporia, VA, five sister-in-laws; Edith Robinson, Rose Robinson, Cora Robinson, Michaelene Robinson and Vernalli Robinson. Four sisters preceded him in death; Helen R. Pair, Orine R. Claiborne, Anne R. Claiborne and Sallie R. Smith, three brothers preceded him in death; Jimmie Robinson, Jr., Freddie Lee Robinson, Sr., Thomas Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
