In humble submission to the will of God, we pause today to honor the life of Adolph Adams, who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on May 26, 1951, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to the parentage of the late John Adams and Mary Easter Adams. On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Adolph Adams answered God’s solemn call from earthly labor unto sweet eternal rest while in the care of Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his only sister, Alma Atkins and seven brothers, John Adams Jr., Wilbert Adams, Earnest Adams, Arthur Adams, Leslie Adams, Lester Adams and Emroy Adams.
Adolph held various jobs throughout his life, such as Dump Truck Driver, Factory Worker, Maintenance Mechanic, and Furnace Operator. When he wasn’t working and after retirement, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering outside, watching westerns, and cutting up with his buddies.
Adolph is survived by: his loving and devoted wife, Mary Cain Adams; daughters, Nita Adams Smallwood (Stacey) and Erica Adams Mason (Harold); his only son and pride and joy - Kasey Adams (Shaniece); the apples of his eye - seven grandchildren, Shenisha Robinson, Venisha Johnson, Calvin Smallwood, Chandler Smallwood, Akera Mason, Eric Mason and his little sidekick Kaiden Adams; one brother, Osbourne Adams; two aunts, Gladys Adams Cain and Gladys Adams; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Cain Peebles and Daisy Adams; three brothers-in-law, Amos Cain Jr, Calvin Cain, David Cain and Jerry Peebles; an abundance of nieces and nephews, including one who was very close, Ronald Adams, three very close friends, Alvin Powell, Lum Plum and James Cain; other relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mr. Adams' tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
