Albert Lewis Williams, affectionately known as Addie by his family and Jack by his friends, was born on October 26th, 1947 in Emporia, Virginia, to the late Charles Allan Williams, Sr. and Ida Mae Williams. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland.
Albert cherished his family, considering his cousins as brothers and sisters, and his family and friends held him in the same high regard. He had a love for trying his luck with the daily lottery, and many of us continue to play his special numbers. A passionate sports fan, Albert was a dedicated follower of the Dallas Cowboys, his favorite football team.
Albert was employed at Capitol Printing Ink in Washington, DC, where he later retired. He was a devoted father to Albert, Tawanda, and Lewis Williams, and a beloved brother to George Williams (Marguerette), James Williams, Johnny Williams, Charlie Williams, Jr., and Willis Williams. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a network of close-knit relationships.
He shared a lifelong friendship with Charlie Ross, his best friend since 1953, and with Perry Williams, a friend since 1971. Their bond remained unshaken over the years. Albert’s circle of friends included Leon Daniels, Lorraine Evans, Betty Pennix, Kendall Harris, Thomas Dugger, Rudolph Carey, Tommy Thompkins, and James Washington, who continuously checked in on him.
Albert’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will live on in their thoughts and stories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
