Mom…
Your life was a blessing
Your memory a treasure
You’re loved beyond words
And missed beyond measure...
On Tuesday, August 14, 1962, in Emporia, Virginia, God blessed Henry Wyche and Joyce Robinson Wyche with a beautiful baby girl, to love, nurture and adore. These loving parents went on to name their exuberant blessing, Althea Wyche. Althea was educated in the Greensville County Public School System. Being reared in a Christian home, she knew and believed in God the Father Almighty, who created Heaven and Earth.
As life progressed, Althea met and united in Holy Matrimony to Steven A. Wright, who preceded her in death. Seeing the need to provide for her family, she learned the value of hard work early in life. Throughout her life, she put forth great effort to further her education in nursing. Doing so, allowed her to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for many years.
Althea enjoyed loving on her family, especially her grandchildren. If she wasn’t with her grandchildren, you could find her watching some of her favorite television shows and soap operas, specifically on the Lifetime Channel.
You never said, “I’m leaving,” you never said, “Good-bye.” You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, Althea Wyche Wright peacefully transitioned from this earthly life, while in the care of Retreat Doctors’ Hospital, of Richmond, Virginia.
A million times we’ve needed you, a million times we’ve cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life, we loved you dearly; in death, we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place, that no one could ever fill: parents, Henry Wyche of Jarratt, Virginia, and Joyce R. Wyche of Emporia, Virginia; daughters, Patrice Walker (Herbert) of McDonough, Georgia, Stephanie Wyche (fiance’, Michael) of Alberta, Virginia, and Crystal Ruffin (Rodney) of Hopewell, Virginia; six grandchildren, Brittney Wyche, Yasmine Walker, Michael Easter, Jr., Kourtney Walker, Rayonni Ruffin and Rashad Ruffin; brother, Ronnie Wyche of Stafford, Virginia; sister-in-law, Essie Wright; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
