“Remembering you is easy, we do it everyday
Missing you is a heartache, which will never go away.”
On Tuesday, December 28, 1971, the earth was graced with the presence of Angel Luis Iglesias Flecha, as he was born to the parentage of the late Angel Luis Iglesias and Felicita Flecha in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
Angel was a high school graduate. For many years, he was employed as a Landscaper. On Saturday, April 12, 2003, Angel was united in Holy Matrimony to Maria Valazquez.
Angel was a devoted Missionary of Iglesias Cristiana Pan de Vida of Emporia, Virginia. He served as director of the Pan De Vida Outreach Program.
Angel Loved God above all things. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. As a man of faith, he was loyal, kind, generous, warm, caring, optimistic, humble, considerate, humorous and a prankster. The words “stranger” and “no” were not in his vocabulary. He lived not letting an hour go by without giving thanks to our heavenly Father for ALL things, whether big or small. He lived praying for his family, his neighbors, his friends and his enemies without ceasing. When he prayed, you knew something powerful was happening, because he held God so close to his heart. He lived giving back to others when it seemed he had nothing to give. He lived like we all should, showing love and compassion to everyone. He enjoyed being around friends and family. He loved to see everyone happy and united. He was also an avid sports fan. Basketball and baseball were his favorites.
Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay… Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey is quicker, For some the journey’s slow. And when the journey finally ends, We’ll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the lord. Angel passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 29, 2021, from complications of sarcoidosis, while in the care of Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia.
Though the clouds may hang over, there will be a brighter day, in that land that they call heaven, God shall wipe all tears away. His loving spirit, caring heart and generosity will long be remembered by all of those whose lives he touched: his loving wife, Maria Iglesias; his children, Walter Isaac Viana, Samuel David Viana, Zachary Moore and Angel Miguel Iglesias; his grandchildren, Sammy, Arianna and Amaris; his brother, Jose; his sisters, Myrna Garcia, Jay, and Brenda Iglesias; his aunts, uncles, nieces, extended family and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Angel's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
