Betty Ann Seaborn Smith, known by many as "Nan" was born on January 31, 1959 in Emporia, Virginia to the union of the late Thomas and Eva Battle Seaborn. Nan departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Mason and brother, Thomas Seaborn. She loved her nieces and nephews very much and often took care of them as if they were own. Betty was a good person with a bright smile. Betty leaves to cherish in memories; her husband, Linwood Smith; brother, Jerry R. Seaborn (Mildred) of Emporia, VA; four sisters, Anna Daughtry, Paulette Mason (Lamar), Etta Mae Seaborn all of Emporia, VA and Patricia Seaborn of Rocky Mount, NC; fifteen nieces and nephews; twenty three great nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful and loving cousins and friends
