Billy Webb Obituary

Billy Ray Webb, son of the late Herbert Webb, Sr. and Helen Deloatch Webb, began his journey through life on Thursday, December 12, 1952 in Halifax County, North Carolina.

Billy was educated in the Greensville County Public School System.   For over 40 years, he worked as a brick mason, until his health began to fail.

Billy Ray enjoyed attending baseball games - he preferred observing as opposed to playing.  His favorite pastime was playing cards.   He was  known to be quiet, gentle and friendly by all those who he came in contact with.

“The clock of life is wound but once, And no one has the power, To tell just where the hands will stop, At late or early hour. To lose one's wealth is sad indeed, To lose one’s health is more, To lose one’s soul is such a loss, As no one can restore. The present only is our own, Live, love, toil with a will, Place no faith in tomorrow, For the clock may then be still.”  On Thursday, December 23, 2021; while in the care of Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia, our dear loved one , peacefully transitioned from time to eternity.   In addition to his parents, Billy Ray was preceded in death by:   his siblings, James Thomas Webb, Herbert Webb, John Lee Deloatch and Nancy Webb and his niece, Cordelia Deloatch-Brooks.
