Clifton Edwards, son of the late Cecil Garris and Christine Edwards, began his journey through life on Tuesday, October 20, 1953, in Emporia, Virginia.
Fondly known as 'Pootie Cat' by his relatives and friends, Clifton was educated in the Greensville County Public School System. Throughout his career, he held various jobs, with his favorite being cutting grass. 'Pootie Cat' had a heart of gold and would do anything in his power to help anyone he could.
On Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, while in the care of Greensville Health & Rehabilitation Center in Emporia, Virginia, our dear loved one peacefully slipped into eternal slumber.
He leaves behind not mourning his untimely passing, but cherishing many fond memories: his beloved aunt, Rosa L. Powell of Emporia, Virginia; his children-at-heart, Laura Chatman, Ronnie Chatman, Lloyd Chatman, Damien Williams, Dominique Williams, and Demetri 'Moochie' Williams; along with a host of cousins and friends.
May Clifton rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mr. Edwards' tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
