“Sad is the parting, no one can tell:
So sudden on earth the sorrow fell,
The blow was hard, the shock severe;
To part with one we love so dear.
Dearer still, as days depart;
Our loved one’s memory will forever live within our hearts!”
Dalawrence S. Green, son of the late Lawrence Green and Avie Simmons Green Hodo, was born on Sunday, March 19, 1978 in Greensville County, Virginia.
‘Duke’, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was educated in the Greensville County Public School System; graduating with the class of 1996. He made his home in Skippers, Virginia and was employed with the Virginia Department of Corrections.
‘Duke’ was a very sociable person. If you came in contact with him, you could expect a good laugh and great conversation. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, fishing and talking about “His Dallas Cowboys” and the Los Angeles Lakers.
