Dalemon Smith Obituary

Dalemon Lamar Smith, age 24, of Greensville County, Virginia, departed this earthly life suddenly on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. Born on Monday, April 30th, 2001, in Greensville County, Virginia, Dalemon was the cherished son of Monique C. Smith and Lamar D. Robinson. He was the beloved eldest of six siblings— Montasia Smith, Chauncey Epps, Aliana Vernon, Zaire Robinson, Shianne Robinson, and Deric Hicks—each of whom looked up to him with love and admiration. He is also survived by his loving paternal grandmother, Bernice Hill, and his devoted maternal grandfather, Elder Stanley Smith (Carolyn).

Dalemon was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Josephine Warren, Hazel Pitts, Doris Butts, and May Robinson; great grandfathers Herman Butts and Richard Robinson; grandmother Mamie Smith; and grandfather Charles Robinson. Deeply rooted in a large and loving family, Dalemon leaves behind, in addition to his parents, siblings, and grandparents, a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold his memory close and carry his light within their hearts.

A proud graduate of Greensville County Schools, Class of 2019, Dalemon distinguished himself as a member of the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), where his natural leadership, discipline, and quiet confidence quickly shone through. Known for his sharp intellect and calm demeanor, he possessed a unique ability to meet challenges with ease—famously preparing for tests by taking a nap rather than studying, a habit that never failed to amaze his family.

Following high school, Dalemon aspired to join the armed services alongside his cousin, having earned an impressive score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). When his cousin faced eligibility obstacles, Dalemon’s unwavering loyalty and compassion led him to postpone his own enlistment—a reflection of his deep love for family and his selfless spirit.

With characteristic determination, Dalemon later earned his welding certification, embarking on a career that allowed him to work side by side with his father. This opportunity not only strengthened their bond but also revealed Dalemon’s remarkable skill, patience, and artistry. His craftsmanship spoke volumes about his character— meticulous, dedicated, and humble. In every professional role he held, Dalemon was known for his dependability, strong work ethic, and kind heart. Colleagues and friends remember him as a gentle soul whose quiet humor and warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Though his time with us was far too brief, the love, light, and laughter that Dalemon brought into the world will never fade. His life was a reflection of quiet strength, humility, and integrity— qualities that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him. …Are Timeless Treasures of The Heart!

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
