David Webb Obituary

"Remembering you is easy, we do it everyday

Missing you is a heartache, which will never go away."

David Junior Webb, made his earthly debut on Sunday, July 31, 1955.  He was born to the parentage of the late Lewis Webb and Margaret Squire Moody in  Emporia, Virginia.

‘Buck’, as he was fondly called by family and friends, received his formal education in the Richmond City Public Schools. After completing his studies, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country from  September 18, 1975 to September 17, 1979; as he was stationed in Florida. After being honorably discharged, he went on to serve in a whole new way by joining the United States Postal Service.

‘Buck’ was full of life; nothing showed his love for living more than him watching and cheering on his favorite football team on Sundays!!  GO COWBOYS!!! He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan! Not only did he enjoy football, but he also enjoyed cooking, playing online poker, and following the latest political news.  He was the type of person that would do anything for friends and family and was always willing to share his words of wisdom. He loved his family dearly and was very proud of his daughter and her accomplishments.

God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb; So he gently closed your eyes and whispered “Peace Be Thine” on Monday, March 16, 2020; while in the care of Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, David Junior Webb answered the Master’s call and traded life for eternity. He is now reunited with his parents; brother, Tyrone Webb; stepfather, Milton Moody; uncle, Curtis Squire and sister-in-law, Kassandra.

A thousand times we needed you. A thousand times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. A heart of gold stopped beating; two twinkling eyes closed to rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only took the best; never a day goes by that you're not in our  hearts and our souls. We who remain to celebrate his life and continue his legacy are: his beloved daughter, Cari Dalisa Webb; wife, Carlisa P. Webb; eight siblings, Shirley Harris (John), Gloria Webb, Ricky Webb (Kathy), Milton Moody (Cassandra), Randall Webb, Darryl Webb (Vina), Edwin Webb (Loretta) and Jermard Randolph; a devoted uncle, Henry Squire (Anne); a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
