Debbie Tyler Obituary

It is with profound love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Debbie Davis Tyler of Lawrenceville, Virginia. Debbie peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on June 17, 2025, at the age of 65, while in the care of VCU Medical Center.

Debbie received her early education through Brunswick County Public Schools. As an ambitious and determined young woman, she earned her cosmetology license and proudly owned and operated a beauty salon. Later, driven by a heart for caring for others, she obtained a Certificate in Practical Nursing from Southside Virginia Community College. Debbie went on to serve as a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years, bringing comfort, kindness, and expert care to her patients. Debbie was a devoted caregiver throughout her life, offering love and support not only to those she served professionally but to everyone around her. Even as her health declined, her spirit remained strong and nurturing.

She was a beautiful, God-fearing woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—laughing with loved ones over a warm cup of coffee, sewing, fishing, listening to music, and watching her favorite classic westerns. With a sharp wit and animated sense of humor, Debbie could brighten any room. She carried herself with quiet confidence, grace, and wisdom, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, William Davis and Annah Pearl Walton Davis; and two sisters, Janice Davis Trusty and Joane Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Michael Tyler; her devoted sisters, Brenda Hill (the late Charles Hill Sr.) and Jacqueline Rice (Donald Rice); and her caring brothers, William Cecil Davis (Mary Davis), Stanley Davis (Linda Davis), and Ross Davis (the late Gail Davis). She is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, one dedicated; Janneco Davis (Quintonio Brandon), nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and countless friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and love.

Debbie lived a life rich in love, laughter, and compassion. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May her memory forever be a guiding light and source of comfort and inspiration.
