Dora Lee Ellis

Dora Lee Ellis entered peacefully into eternal rest on November 12, 2014 in Emporia, VA. She was born on November 24, 1924 in Wilson, NC to the union of the late Johnnie and Lucy Eatmon Morgan. In 1943, Dora married Leon Ellis and to this union eight children were born. She enjoyed sharing her childhood memories with her children. Dora also enjoyed going back to North Carolina to visit her family and making her monthly trips to "The Meat House" (Red and White) in Red Oak, NC Dora was a member of the Union Grove Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) were served on the mother board for many years. She leaves to cherish in memory her children, Annie Johnson (Ralph) of Lawrenceville, VA, Cordelia Lewis of Wilmington, NC, Irving Ellis (Velma) of Petersburg, VA, Helen Gains of Richmond, VA, Shirley Dunn (James) of Emporia, VA, Joseph Ellis of Waldorf, MD and Jaime Ellis of Emporia, VA; two sisters, Almeta Sessoms of Sims, NC and Catherine Cox of Raleigh, NC; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
