Ernestine Faulk Watts was born as the oldest child of the late John Jeremiah and Ethel Bowers Faulk on February 11, 1944 in Zuni, VA. She was pre deceased by her husband, Edward Watts, with whom she shared eight children.
Mrs. Watts was a 1962 graduate of George Tyler High School in Isle of Wight County, VA. She earned a degree in early childhood education and worked in the Greensville County Public Schools, where she retired.
The Lord blessed Mrs. Watts to be a multi-talented Proverb 31 entrepreneur. For many years she operated a bakery business, sewing and alterations business, and a child care business. All the day care children she's nurtured remain near and dear to her and the family's heart
During her spare time; she enjoyed studying the Bible, crafts, and mentoring young women, and singing with her family. For many years she used her gifts and talents and Spiritual Call to work in many capacities in church ministry. She has served as a choir member, choir director, Sunday school teacher, missionary, alter worker, elder, church mother and secretary for various auxiliaries.
She leaves to cherish: six children; Lillian Campbell of Prince George's County, MD, Hope Millner (Jeff) of Danville, VA, Nathan Watts of College Parlk, MD, Juanita Lucas (Richard) of Emporia, VA, Allester Watts (Nichole) of Prince George, VA and Alexander Watts (Rachel) of Petersburg, VA; two step children; Ernestine Downing (Dennis) of Pemberton, HJ and Curtis Watts of Portsmouth, VA; eight siblings: Jerryline Ames of Norfolk, VA, Helen Banks of Windsor, VA, John Thomas Faulk of Newport News, VA, Ida Lorraine Everette (Cook) of Franklin, VA, Theodore Faulk (Ruth) of Portsmouth, VA, Jeanette Hill of Windsor, VA, Raymond Faulk (Louise) of Ivor, VA and Edith Long (Roland) of Norfolk, VA; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her special adopted family; Justin, Erin, Abbygale and Kiley Hancock of Jarratt, VA
