HARVEY GEORGE VALENTINE, JR., affectionately known as "Jody Rain Water," peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home. Born on Monday, January 11th, 1942, to the late Harvey and Mildred Valentine, Harvey lived a life filled with dedication, passion, and love. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Baby Boy Valentine and Stanley Valentine, and his sister, Vanessa Valentine.

At an early age, Harvey was baptized and became a member of Union Bethel RZUA Church in Freeman, Virginia. He spent over 30 years residing in Chesapeake and Norfolk, Virginia, before eventually returning to Emporia, Virginia, where he lived until his passing.

His passions in life were vast, including a deep love for gun collecting, fishing, carpentry, and hunting.
