James Alonzo Wilkins, was born in Emporia, Virginia on Thursday, September 12, 1957 to the parentage of the late Willie and Gladys Avent Wilkins.
James was educated in the Greensville County Public School System; graduating from Greensville High School - Class of 1976. In December 2022, James moved back to Emporia, Virginia; after retiring from Direct Path Corporation of Alexandria, Virginia.
“After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring; After the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease, After life’s cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.” On Friday, October 13, 2023; after battling cancer for several years, James was granted sweet eternal rest.
Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of: his wife of 19 years, Christine; his sons, Ronnel and James Robinson, Dawn Stewart and Glenn Hart, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Ponta Rodgers, Jasmine Tyler, Ronyla Robinson, Zanaviah Jones, Jayvy Robinson, Kierrh Robinson, Tyron Robinson and Kaleel Robinson; two great-granddaughters, Charli and Chasity; two sisters, Nellie Jones of Suffolk, Virginia and Rose Easter of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three brothers, Robert Camp of Emporia, Virginia, Willie Wilkins of Waldorf, Maryland and Jerry Wilkins of Clarksville, Tennessee; a loving sister-in-law, Iris Wilkins of Waldorf, Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mr. Wilkins' tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
