Jennifer 'Jean' Mallory Obituary

 After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring;

After the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing.

After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease,

After life’s cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.”

     Jennifer High Mallory was born on November 17, 1963 in Northampton County, North Carolina to the late Robert High, Sr. and Annie Marie High.

     ‘Jean’, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, received her formal education from the Northampton Public School System, before graduating from Greensville County High School in Emporia, Virginia. Jennifer earned her Certified Nursing Assistant certification from the former Greensville Memorial Hospital of Emporia.

     As life progressed, ‘Jean’ relocated to California, where she was united in Holy Matrimony to her high school sweetheart, Rodney Mallory, Sr. on July 17, 1982. Being reared in a Christian home and taught the value of a relationship with Christ, ‘Jean’ accepted the Lord as her personal savior, at an early age, and united in fellowship with the Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend Frank Bullock.

     ‘Jean’ was a sweet and kind person. She loved to talk and possessed a smile that was sure to brighten anyone’s day. In addition, she made others smile and never wanted anyone to worry about her. Jennifer touched many lives in special ways. She wanted nothing less than the best for others and for everyone to be happy!

     Peacefully, in the early morning hours of Monday, June 13, 2022, our dear loved one was called from her earthly labor unto eternal rest, while in the serenity of home surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her parents, Jennifer is now rejoined with her grandparents, Agnes High Hendricks, Thomas P. High, Sallie Brinkley Floyd, Cleophus Scott; her niece, Jewel A’Marie Jones and many other loved ones gone on before. May you all rest in peace and have a blessed reunion!

     Our family is a circle of strength and love; with every birth and every union, the circle of love grows - every trial faced together makes the circle grow stronger. We who remain struck by the bitter pain of death, but are assured by the promise of God; that He would wipe all tears from our eyes are: her husband, Rodney Jeffrey Mallory Sr. of the home, her son, Rodney Jeffrey Mallory Jr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia, two sisters, Louvenia King (Napolian Jr). of Prince George, Virginia and Wanda Hicks (Gregory) of Emporia, Virginia, two brothers, Robert High, Jr. (Rosiland) of Richmond, Virginia and Jeffery High (Helen) of Statonsburg, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Idell Garner of Gaston, North Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Tony Squire (Karen) of Gaston, North Carolina and Craig Garner (Connie) of Chesterfield, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Erica Hawkins, of Houston, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
