LEONA CLYDE DUNBAR was born to the late Julius Mack and the late Bertha Lee Clyde on April 27, 1941. She was educated in the Philadelphia, PA school system and graduated from William Penn High School in 1961. Later, after high school she married the late Murphy Dunbar. She accepted Christ in 1986 and joined Second Chronicle Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia, PA where Elder T. A. Mason, Sr. was pastor. As a member, she served this ministry as a part of the choir. While living in Philadelphia, Leona was employed with Sears Roebuck, Stanley Blacker, a manufacturing of men's clothing and S. W. Woolworth. Leona was a gifted seamstress. After becoming ill and no longer able to work, she started her own sewing business making prom dresses, wedding garments and clergy attire. She was also a very skilled tailor. After the death of her mother, she relocated to Emporia, VA in 2006. Leona was fun, loving and compassionate individual who became a mother to many. Her wit and straight forwardness ministered to numerous souls. Her favorite quote was "Give people what they need.....THE TRUTH". At her passing, she was a member of Living Stone Ministries where Dr. Philip Devin Mason is the pastor. She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy two daughters; Rheila Johnson and Andrea Dunbar, one brother; Frederick Mack, two sisters; Mozell Dantzler and Agatha Mack, a foster daughter; Jamilla Lindler, seven grandchildren; John (Jay), Mercedes (Sade), Ricky (Junior), Rhema (Maggie), Azjee (Wooda), Shekinah (Momma), Malikah (Likah), one great-grandson; Jaiden Ari (Sir Jaiden), two sons-in-law; Ricky Johnson and Malik Medley, one sister-in-law; Wan Mack and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
