On Wednesday evening, April 30, 2014, at Southside Virginia Regional Medical Center, our Lord dispatched his angels to visit his beloved daughter, Louise Elma Jones, to joyfully bring her into a well-deserved eternal rest and peace. Louise was born to the late Horace and Virginia Easter in Greensville County, Virginia on March 24, 1915. She grew up with her siblings the late Alberta Palmer, Moses Easter, Lillian Palmer Curtis, Leonard Easter and her youngest brother Andrew Easter of Baltimore, Maryland whom she leaves to mourn her passing. At an early age she was baptized and became a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was a diligent member of the Senior Choir; she served as a Missionary and Deaconess and in her later years she became the Mother of the church. Although, Louise was an active member of Mount Calvary, due to illness she was sadly unable to continue to participate in her church ministries. She received her grade school education at Scott Lewis Elementary School in Freeman, Virginia and later received her high school diploma from James Solomon Russell High School in Lawrenceville, Virginia. In December of 1937 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Fred Douglas Jones of Brunswick County, Virginia. To this union nine children were born; Barbara, Fred, Jr., Mary, Joyce, the late Rainey, Ruth, Christine, Millicent and Dondra. She leaves to cherish her memories; her eight surviving children and their spouses: Barbara Jones Turner, Fred V. Jones (Zee), Mary Dargan Reeves (Elmore), Joyce P. Coleman, Ruth O. Jones (Gene), Christine Jones, Millicent J. Givens (Ron), Dondra E. Carson (John), 21 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
