Monique Rolonda Pulley

Monique Rolanda Pulley, daughter of the late Lonzie and Rose Mattox Pulley, was born on Tuesday, January 6th, 1981, in Petersburg, Virginia. She was educated in the Greensville County Public School System and later earning her General Education Development (GED).

As a mother of 7, Monique loved her children tremendously. She was very affectionate, caring and strong-willed. Singing, riding motorcycles, watching movies and fishing, all brought Monique great joy.

As I sit in heaven and I watch you everyday, I try to let you know with signs I never went away. I hear when you’re laughing and watch you as you sleep. I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away, wanting me to come home. So I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone. Don’t feel guilty that you have a life that was denied to me. Heaven is truly beautiful just you wait and see. So live your life, love again, enjoy yourself, be free! Then I know with every breath you take you’ll be taking one for me… Monique was called by God on Thursday, September 28th, 2023; while at her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kamari Fisher.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of: her children Tierra, Thomas Jr, Brinetta, Jahrell, Shania and Kadasia; her grandson, Cairo; her brother, Lonzita, whom she was immensely close to; her niece, Urai; a special man in her life, Kenneth Fisher; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
