Onnie California Taylor Ivory affectionally called "Mutt", Mamma Mutt or Mom Ivory was born on August 20, 1927 in Gray, VA to the late Alexander and mertie Brown Taylor. She was married to the late Roosevelt Ivory. Onnie greates joy was serving in the house of the Lord. She was elected to serve as the Church Mother and she also served on the Missionary Board, the Choir and the Women's Ministry. She played piano at Calvary Baptist, Center Star, and Bethlehem Baptist. She leaves to mourn her children, Alexander Ivory (Georgette), Shirley Grooms (Bob) Carolyn Ware-Perkins (Melvin), sisters, Queenie Birkett and Mary Emma Jones, daughter-in-law, Barbara Ivory; grandchildren, Antonio Ivory (Annette), Damonn Ivory (Charonne), Deonte Smith, Kyna Smith (Tony), Sean Ware (JoAnn)and Andrea Perkins; great grandchildren, Antonio Ivory, Damonn Ivory, Cydney Ivory, Acacia Ware, Jelani Ware, Josiah Ware,and Iyana Ware
