Reginald Demetrius Hicks, son of the late Queen Elizabeth Hicks was born December 2, 1971 in Washington, DC. He grew up in Emporia, VA. Reggie was married to Diane Hicks.
He was called to the ministry long before he accepted the call. He served faithfully as a deacon and minister for many years under the leadership of Apostle Duane I Coats and Pastor Jeanette Coats of Word of Faith in Dumfries, VA. He served as a minister at Life Empowerment Ministries under the guidance of Pastor Billie Malone at the time of his passing. Reggie valued his faith and family. He was known and loved by many .
Reginald leaves a large legacy, not of riches as the world see wealth, but a legacy based on faith, strength and obedience to God. As he matured spiritually, he became a strong, outspoken example of strength, courage and faith.
He was a beloved co-worker at the Rosner Automotive Group and was a top salesman for years. Reggie hobbies included fishing, serving God and spending time with his family, cooking and watching his favorite football team the Pittsburg Steelers.
We mourn our loss, but rejoice in his eternal rest. To continue his legacy and honor his life; he leaves a wife, Diane Hicks, eight children; Angie Smith, Jessica Tate, Jasmine Hicks, Ashley Adams (Michael), Jasonte Hicks, and Josiah Hicks; three siblings, Velma Waller (Clarence), Jeffrey Hicks (Tarrah) and Darius Hicks; ten grandchildren, Madison Peter-Hail, Tyasia Jenkins, Rashad Adkins, Jr., Tyreem Jenkins, Jr., Isaiah Vaughan, Aiyah Jenkins, Zamira Hicks, Caleb Vaughan, Tavon Washington, Jr. and Laya Adams; a former wife, Alicia Tate and a host of Aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
