Ricky Miles Obituary

Ricky Earl Miles was on born April 29, 1967 in Emporia, VA to the late Geraldine Banks Miles and James Russell Miles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Rosa Banks and Paternal grandmother, Queen Miles Hicks. He attended John F. Kennedy High School in Richmond, VA. Ricky realized that he had been called by God to write inspirational poetry, plays, books and freestyle music that encouraged people from all walks of life, letting know there is still hope, regardless of what they may be experiencing. Ricky was a three time published author of the following books: "I Don't Wanna Be A Thug No Mo", "A Divine Sighting Caught With The Naked Eye: My Life from Hell to Heaven" and "Tomorrow Might be to Late" His passion in life was to tell people about Jesus and share testimony through his prolific writings. His daily routine included reading his bible and spending quiet time with the Lord Jesus' He had a heart for giving gifts, always remembering others on special occasions. He owned a Lawn Care and Tree Service business and was the #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Ricky leaves to cherish in memory: his children. Essence Jackson, Joshua and Arielle Miles; his father, James Russell Miles; his brothers, James A. Miles (Pamela0 and Anthony Miles (Rita); sisters, Barbara Miles (Roger) and Patricia Brawley (Robert); a Special Friend, Ceciella Freeman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
