Robert Earl High, Sr., son the late Thomas P. and Agnes Easter High was born on June 29, 1942 in Northampton County, North Carolina.
His education was received through the Northampton County School System.
At an early age; he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Robert was a very devoted Redskins fan. He was also a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle whose memories will remain in the hearts of those that knew and loved him.
On August 25, 1962, he was united into Holy Matrimony to Annie Marie Odom, and God blessed this union with five children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie High, as well as two sisters, and one brother; Louise High, Shirley Broady and Arthur Hicks.
Peacefully, Robert departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Southside Regional Medical Center.
Those left to cherish in memory are three daughters; Louvenia King (Napoleon, Jr.) of Prince George, VA, Jennifer Mallory (Rodney, Sr.) of Lawrenceville, GA and Wanda Hicks (Gregory) of Emporia, VA; two sons, Robert High, Jr. (Rosiland) of Richmond, VA and Jeffery High (Helen) of Stantonsburg, NC; three sisters, Juanita Wilson of Stanford, CT, Delores Mixon (William) of Gaston, NC and Carolyn Carter (Solomon) of Littleton, NC; three brothers, Thomas High (Nathalia) of Mt Ranier, MD, Willie High (Rosa) of Gaston, NC and Russell Williams of Stanford, CT; eleven beloved grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A close and devoted friend, Linda Robinson; one aunt, Susie Jones of Roanoke Rapids, NC; four sisters-in-law, Faye Lashley, Dorothy Mason, Pamela Mason and Katherine Jackson; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Floyd, Jr. and Carl Floyd; four special therapists at the Golden Living in Petersburg, VA and four special nurses of the home, Connie Parham, Shirley Mason, Sandra Anderson and Rashawn High.
