Sallie Elizabeth Boney

The beloved SALLIE ELIZABETH MANNING BONEY was a native of Greensville County, Virginia born to the parentage of Buck and Stella Manning on October 15, 1931. She was the second of nine children. Sallie attended received her education through the public school systems in Emporia, Virginia. At the age of eighteen, Sallie met and married the love of her live; Johnny Boney whom preceded her in death. Within that union eight children were born; Margaret, Bobby Lee, Barbara Ann, Johnny, Stella, Mary, Calvin and Carl. Sallie moved to New York City at the age of 22, where she raised her children while being employed as a Domestic Technician. Sallie gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Walker Memorial Baptist Church. She was a dedicated servant for the Lord. She was involved in the mission of the church. She was also a member of the Usher Board, Baptist Training Union, Pastor's Aid, Women's Ministry and the Culinary Ministry. Sallie was passionate a bout her cooking , she loved to cook and loved to cook for her pastor. Whenever there was an event that took place, Sallie dedicated her time and services. The Walker Family not only considered her a faithful member but family. With her stories, charismatic attitude with a touch of warm endearment she was the true definition of a servant of God. Sallie peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on June 19, 2014 after a brief illness. She leaves to cherish her loving memories four children; Bobby Lee, Barbara Ann, Calvin and Mary, 16 grandchildren; Delores, Yolanda, Jermaine, Dawn, Aprile, Donnacia, Ceira, Myesha, Kesha, Derek, Stevie, Andre, Keira, Ashley, Brendon and Brandon, three grandsons-in-law; James, Oliver and Eddie, 16 great-grandchildren, three siblings; Mable, Frank and Joe and her beloved Friend Martha Bess along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
