As the sun shined on a beautiful pleasant day, a quiet voice called our beloved Samuel Floyd High to a home of eternal rest. ‘Dump’, affectionately known by many, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 2:15 pm, while in the care of VCU - MCV Hospital, Richmond, Virginia.

On September 4, 1965, Samuel was united in Holy Matrimony to Liza Lenora High. In this union they were loving parents to many.
Samuel was preceded in death by: his parents, George Warner and Amanda High; son-at-heart, Wesley Taylor; his brothers, George, William, Willie and James; his sisters, Ruth Roberts, Mertise Powell, Lucille Ingram and India Rice.
