Shirley Mason Obituary

The Obituary
Shirley Mason, better known as Lil Shirley answered the call of her master and serenely transitioned into eternity on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Emporia, Virginia
She attended school in Loa Angeles, California.
She was happily married to the love of her life Willie L. Mason.
Lil Shirley was very comical and could often make you laugh with very little effort. Often times, when you saw her interacting with the community you could feel the love she had for them. On special occasion and holidays she would spend at least thirty minutes in CVS picking out a card that truly express how she felt about you.
She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a member at Newness of Life Outreach Ministries in Emporia, Virginia. She loved the Lord and was a loving, compassionate person to all who knew her, Every time she would talk to her sisters-in law she would say I know you love me and I love you too. When you came to the store she asked what do you want, go get it. It's on me.
Also preceding her in death. Her father Calvin Hodge, three brothers, Harold Thomas, Henry Hodge and Michael Hodge all of Texas.
She leaves to cherish her memories: A loving and devoted husband Willie, who always took care of her and two children Angel and Willie Jr. (JR); her mother, Ann Thomas, one grandson, Jaheim Woods, both of Emporia, Virginia, one brother Calvin Hodge of Texas; six sisters-in-law, Mary Hodge of Texas, Shirley Edge, Lillie Mae Conner(Johnny), Betty Atkins(James), Thelma Conner(Edward), Dianne Mayfield(Barry) all of Emporia, Virginia, two brothers-in-law, Lamar Mason Jr. (Paulette), and Darnell Seaborne of Emporia, Virginia. She had a special relationship with all her nieces and nephews especially Lil James who she always call when she needed something repaired. She leaves a host of other relatives and numerous friends.
