“If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane
I’d walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again”
On Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, God, in His infinite wisdom, called home our beloved husband, brother, father, and friend, Tyrone Taylor, granting him eternal rest in the presence of his Heavenly Father.
Tyrone Taylor was born on Tuesday, July 29th, 1975, to the late Deloris Robinson Taylor and Norman Stith. He was preceded in death by his cherished grandmother, Ersie Jane Robinson; two uncles; and a beloved cousin, all of whom welcomed him home.
At an early age, Tyrone accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, he joined Cedar Street Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, where he faithfully served as a member of the Male Chorus and remained devoted until his earthly journey ended.
Tyrone was a man blessed with many gifts and talents. Known for his strong work ethic and remarkable skill, he had the ability to build or repair just about anything. He was employed as a pipefitter with Henkels & McCoy and later as a plumber with Plumbright Plumbing, where his dedication and craftsmanship were greatly admired.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife, Keishya Lea Taylor; three children, Shamonte Taylor of Emporia, Virginia, and Kiya Taylor and Jaden Taylor of New York; and three bonus children, Tiana Lea and Lauren Hall of Maryland, and Joshua Lea-Hall of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a proud grandfather to S’Nyrah Taylor, Symphani Taylor, and S’yon Taylor, all of Emporia, Virginia, and two bonus grandchildren, Nazir Powell and Syncere Powell.
He is also survived by six siblings: Chester Cuffee, Jr., Terri Johnson (Chauncy), and James Taylor, all of Emporia, Virginia; Patricia Cuffee of Portsmouth, Virginia; Trina Pleasant of Richmond, Virginia; and Bryant Stith (Barbara) of Greensboro, North Carolina; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends
Tyrone will be remembered for his loving spirit, his willingness to help others, and the lasting impact he made on all who were blessed to know him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mr. Taylor's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
