On Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:40 AM God suddenly called our beloved Brother, Wilbert Lee Banks, III home to eternal rest. Wilbert was known to many as L.J. Banks and Gooby". Wilbert was born on March 25, 1992 in Halifax, North Carolina. He was educated in the Greensville County public Schools and was a 2010 graduate. He continued his education and dreams by enlisting in the United States Army. He was a Specialist (92 Alpha). When "L.J." returned home from the Army, he found employment at Comcast and Applebees. "L.J." had strong spiritual roots and received the message of salvation was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of The Kingdom Church, under the leadership od Apostle T. Andre' Mason, Sr. He enjoyed all types of music and playing stringed instruments. He was an avid cowboys fan and enjoyed watching LeBron James. He patterned himself after his father for a desire to cook for himself, the family and friends. Wilbert leaves a legacy of love, devotion and precious memories to be remembered by his parents, Wilbert and Josette Banks; one brother, J'Von; two sisters, Shenquea Tucker and Timiya Burgwyn; two god sisters, Angelia and Chynia; Maternal Grandmother, Gracie Elaine (Raymond) Hunter and Paternal Grandmother, Arlene Banks. Maternal grandfather, James (Shelia) Tucker; Maternal great grandmother, Pattie Ridley, three aunts, Tracey, Shelley and LeCretia; four uncles, Altony, Montella, William and James; eight great aunts; four great uncles; two nieces, Oneste and Ja'nikah, one nephew, Sernaj; God mother, Elder Velma Worell; God brother, Corey; brother-in-law, Martini Morrow. A host of cousins and friends. He also leaves to cherish special friends, Kelia, DeVon, Tim, Noah and Lamont.
