William Henry Clark, Sr. son of the late Robert and Beatrice Baker Clark, began his journey through life on Saturday, August 22, 1931, in Enfield, (Halifax County) North Carolina.
After working 32 years, as a Foreman, with the City of Emporia, Virginia, William retired on May 1, 1990.
William departed this earthly life for a better one on Saturday, January 9, 2021; while in the care of Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Weldon, North Carolina.
Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of: his devoted wife, Shirley Clark of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; five children, Carolyn (James) Bryant of Waldorf, Maryland, Janet (Avery) Becton of Manassas, Virginia, Karen Adams of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Patty (Richard) Mayo of Waldorf, Maryland and William Clark Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; a special nephew, Leroy (Karen) Atkins of Fayetteville, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Jean, James and Milton Clark all of Baltimore, Maryland, Marie Burke of Hampton, Georgia, Fannie Powell and Betty Tucker both of Emporia, Virginia; special friends Tammy Williams and Eddie Young; a host of other relatives and friends.
